Located in Little Lonsdale Street, in the once infamous and now far more respectable area of Madam Brussels Lane, Oddfellows hotel is regarded as Melbourne’s oldest hotel and its renovation has brought to life yet another piece of Melbourne’s colourful past.
As well as offering a large indoor and outdoor area downstairs, including a full wood-fired oven, Oddfellows also features an upstairs terrace, cocktail bar and an Italian fine dining restaurant known as Luce Rossa which, in keeping with the colourful tradition of the area, is Italian for ‘red light’.
In a sleek and chic dining space, patrons here can expect to dine on elegant Italian fare such as angolotti filled with rich osso bucco and sauced with sage and butter, or a chargrilled spatchcock atop a crisp potato tartlet. Luce Rossa also offers a slew of tempting woodfired pizza options with ethereally thin bases.
