2010 Melbourne Fringe Festival

In 25 years Melbourne Fringe has created a rich cultural legacy, a bucket load of sweet memories and a long list of seminal performers, writers, designers and artists who have, and still do, develop groundbreaking work.

The Melbourne Fringe Festival is the largest annual celebration of independent arts in Victoria. The Festival is entirely open access, meaning that artists are responsible for the creation and presentation of their own events.

The Festival is one of Australia's most authentic reflections of contemporary arts practice due to the inclusive, open access approach and our ability to attract an impressive line up of emerging artists alongside established artists experimenting with content, form and presentation.

Also an information and resource network, Melbourne Fringe presents festivals and events that have significant cultural impact at a local, national and international level for artists, audiences and the general public.
